A Picture Story

Pictures from the trip. It takes a while to upload so I plan on uploading them in small batches. Sorry to keep you all waiting. Bear in mind that the captions are below the corresponding picture.

My first views of England. Are the clouds the same as in America? I'm thinking no.

The city of London. You can't really tell what's what, but there it is. 20 minutes to landing.

Driving from the airport to campus. Clean, green, and rustic.

Good for London! They seem very environmentally conscientious here. Only about 50% of the people in London own cars. Public transportation is the most popular way to travel, and even that is giving way to bicycles. People don't want to have to deal with traffic.

Why is everything on the wrong side of the road?

My room. It's messier now, obviously.

The sink and closet are on the wall opposite by bed.

A room with a view. Of a field.

King's College, Hampstead. I walk down this path to get anywhere.

This is from the other side. All the buildings in view right now are dormitories. Mine is on the left side, with the white stairs.

And it looks like this. It's called Maynard.
